Ricoh Theta SC2 Review - Video Quality, High-End Features and Value For Money

The Ricoh Theta SC2 Review is about three things. Firstly, is it better than the Z1? Secondly, is it a worthy investment? And thirdly, is it worth it?

For this Ricoh Theta SC2 Review we decided to compare it to the previous model, the Theta SC. This was mainly to see if there had been any advancements that the SC2 had missed out on. To put it straight, the main difference we saw was in the modes and the shooting modes. In the review we will compare the standard mode, the image stabilization, and the Night mode. In addition to that we will also compare it to some other cameras available today.

The main difference between the two cameras is in the level of lens performance. With the Theta cameras the lens is sealed against the body meaning less distortion at the edges. In comparison the Ricoh Theta SC2 uses a much larger sensor. This allows the camera to achieve a higher level of photo resolution (up to 14mp). This also means that it has higher levels of image stabilization.

The Ricoh Theta SC2 was introduced for professional photographers. It is one of a range of six digital cameras that use the image stabilization technology to help when you are shooting with a camera at night. Most of these six cameras use a sensor to detect light in low light. This detects the light and then adjusts the lens accordingly so that you get the clear and crisp image you desire. When you activate the room mode on the Ricoh Theta SC2 you are able to use this feature whilst shooting at night.

However this is not the only advantage of this camera. The Ricoh Theta SC2 has an auto focus feature which makes taking photos of your family much easier. This also has internal stitching which is another added advantage. As the camera is capable of doing this internal stitching the images are far more delicate and can be manipulated to suit your requirements. Of course this internal stitching can be slowed down in order to allow for faster photo taking. This is an excellent addition especially if you are taking a lot of high-end action photographs.

In this Ricoh Theta SC2 review I will also explain what the other advantages of this camera are. One of these is that it is capable of working in extreme weather conditions. If you live in an area where it is often damp or wet, then you will want to check out the waterproof housing that also works as a spare housing for your digital camera.

To conclude this Ricoh Theta SC2 review I have to say that this is one of my most favorite compact cameras on the market. It has many of the features that you would expect from a top of the range professional grade digital camera. It is very compact, which means that you can take it with you anywhere easily. You also get superb video quality which is something which I found very impressive. For this high-end compact camera you can expect to pay between eighty five and three hundred dollars which is excellent value for money.

If you are looking for a high-end, waterproof video quality compact camera then the Ricoh Theta SC2 could be just what you are looking for. I am personally not a professional photographer so I cannot comment on its image quality as I am not really one to watch videos anyway. However, I do have to say that the build quality of this camera is great and it feels solid when you hold it. It is also lightweight which is another plus point. In short, if you are looking for a high-end digital camera which has many useful features, then the Ricoh Theta SC2 could be a great choice. I will tell you why in my Ricoh Theta SC2 review.
