Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold

At first glance, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold appears to be an ordinary rectangular tablet. However, a closer inspection will reveal that the device has two separate panels that unfold to become a full-fledged tablet that can be used like a laptop, notebook, desktop replacement, or as a tablet and pen combination. The second panel, the cover, flips in and out to allow access to all the ports and functions of the ThinkPad.

There are several unique attributes of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold. It has a unique retractable keyboard deck that allows for a full-scale desktop replacement. This means that the entire device can be used for web browsing, office applications, entertainment, and web surfing. A key advantage of the Tablet mode is that it enables the display to be optimized for the keyboard. As a laptop replacement, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with an extremely well-made keyboard with large buttons, an arrow cluster, and a question mark for Caps lock. The buttons are located in the middle of the back of the keyboard. In addition, you can program five different profiles for use when the computer is not connected to a USB port. Each of the five profiles has its own function that makes controlling the computer much easier.

Unlike other tablet computers that include a physical keyboard with discrete buttons and a touchpad, this laptop offers a much larger keyboard that can be used as a stylus. The larger size of the keyboard allows you to tap on the actual keys without fully pressing them. With its integrated optical scanner, it is possible to scan documents such as photos and document formats.

One of the best things about the laptop is that the on-screen keyboard is available as either a stick type or a click type. The stick type of input device is quite comfortable to use and it is quite accurate when entering numbers and symbols. On the other hand, the click type of input device provides a comfortable and efficient way to enter text or browse through documents and other items. The touchpad is located in the lower left corner and can also be used as a stylus.
